Rawson Hall offers a mix of spaces for classes, meetings, parties, community use and sports support. The descriptions below are transferred from the current site and lightly edited for clarity.
Large Hall
The large hall measures 22m x 9m and has sufficient height for games such as badminton. The hall can seat around 120 people comfortably, although capacity reduces if a dance floor is needed or extra tables are added.
22m x 9maround 120 seatedsprung wooden floor
A sprung wooden floor and large glass mirrors make it suitable for a range of dance classes. The room is neutrally decorated, which makes it straightforward to adapt for larger functions and events. It has an efficient heating system and can be hired with access to the kitchen next door.
Large doors open onto paving and overlook the recreation field operated by MSDC. If use of the field is required, permission will need to be obtained separately from MSDC.
Small Hall
The small hall measures 10m x 7m and is better suited to smaller functions or gatherings. It includes basic kitchen facilities.
10m x 7maround 30 seatedgood for smaller groups
The regular user of this hall is the playgroup, so one or two playgroup items may remain stored at one end of the room. The hall is decorated in a way intended to feel welcoming for younger children.
The current recommendation is that the small hall seats around 30 people comfortably.
Robins’ Room
Robins’ Room measures 4m x 3.5m and is well suited to meetings, presentations and teaching. There is a desk and chairs to seat around 8 people comfortably.

Foyer and kitchen
The foyer forms the main entrance area and extends through to a fully equipped kitchen. It is also used as a community cafe from 10am to 4pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, offering food and drink for eat-in or takeaway. The seating area can accommodate around 25 people.

Sports changing rooms
The changing rooms and showering facilities are primarily intended for users of the recreation ground, including the village football side, but they can also be used by other groups where appropriate.
